Sintered bronze bushings are sliding bearing elements manufactured using powder metallurgy as a sintered powdered bronze impregnated with oil. Thanks to the porous structure of the material, oil is stored inside the bushing and gradually released during operation, providing a self-lubricating effect and allowing their use in mechanisms where lubrication is difficult or limited. These bushings are designed to work in harsh conditions, characterized by high wear resistance, dimensional stability, and the ability to carry very large loads. They are used, among others, in rotating small electrical devices, in automotive applications in generators, alternators, and other components requiring durable and reliable sliding bearings.
